Artist Statement

My sculptures are almost like trying to write a short poem. I like to give a clue for the viewers in order to give the chance to build up their own perception

My research is aiming to find a balance among the volume, the form and the space underlining the emptiness instead of the mass. The counterposition of mass and emptiness is suggesting a form and an inner unconscious comprehension.

I am trying to remove weight to the formal structures, directing the research towards an art of essentiality and harmony. It is a path to the lightness and the spirit of the forms, recovering the sense of time and history, but going through modernity. and then contemporaneity. The forms have the evocative dimension of music, times and suspended rhythms of a melody. The delicate, circular motion of the kinetic sculptures cause the person to be part of the work through touch.

Through my work I try to convey the notion of immateriality, the essence of being, the eternal circular movement of life and the duality of everything that exists: light and shadow, positive and negative.

The emptiness helps understanding the part with its total volume.
